Houston ranks among top 100 US cities with highest rents

Houston ranks as the 65th-priciest rental market in the U.S., with a median one-bedroom rent of $1,240 in November, down 0.8% from October and 4.6% year-over-year. The median rent for two-bedroom apartments decreased 1.9% from October to $1,560, a 3.1% drop from last year. Zumper's report indicates a seasonal shift in rental demand, with national rents expected to see modest declines through the end of the year and into early next year. Year-over-year increases for one- and two-bedroom units were 2.3% and 2.5%, respectively.
